Consumer Education Services Inc. (CESI) announced today that CEO Michael Croxson will be a speaker covering Financial Inclusion at the upcoming LendIt Fintech USA 2018 conference April 9-11 in San Francisco. The LendIt Fintech conference is the world’s leading event in financial services innovation, and features more than 5,000 attendees, 1,000 investors, 600 banks and a diverse group of industry experts.
Consumer Education Services Inc. (CESI) is dedicated to the mission of enhanced economic security for everyone we serve. “Adequate access to financial products and services is a growing concern for many U.S. consumers, and the financial institutions that serve them.” Says Croxson. “CESI believes that affordable banking, lending and savings products are critical components to financial capability and economic security, and we are committed to working with the Fintech industry to find solutions that serve the needs of consumers.”
As part of CESI’s commitment to financial inclusion and economic security, CESI has launched a separate, affiliate non-profit, The Community Loan Center of the NC Triangle to provide a new innovative lending program serving North Carolina employers and their employees. The program offers low-interest, low-fee, small dollar personal loans to employees of participating employers as an alternative to high-cost predatory loan products for those in need of funds for emergency situations.
Mr. Croxson brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and a passion for adapting new technology to meet the needs of consumers struggling financially. He will share perspective from the trenches of the Credit Counseling Industry about how we can work together with the Fintech industry to identify and strategically service consumers struggling with financial inclusion.
In partnership with The Community Loan Center of the NC Triangle, CESI will provide free financial education and budget counseling to borrowers. CESI is committed to working with The Community Loan Center of the NC Triangle to build strong communities through economic development programs that promote asset-building, homeownership and access to affordable financing options. – Source
